19 of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player won his first title for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has experienced a torrid season, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his serving in especial - led to him dropping out of the world's top 10 and ultimately separating with former trainer his previous coach.
Currently training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - culminating in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is his first championship since the Rome competition and initial on a hardcourt since March of 2023.
Success also indicates the Russian has won twenty-one titles at 21 different events.
"For the first time I'm at a competition with my two daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," stated ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my child her name, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, featuring in that event previously this season.
The player's defensive strategy and regular outbursts on the playing surface had led some to question if his skill to compete at the top level was concluded.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and perform positively, backed up by an better serve.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, taking four of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
The pair exchanged breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his first tour title, seized the initiative to create a third set.
Moutet defended 4 initial chances in a competitive final set before the champion secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner clinched victory with a shot at the net, with his opponent unable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
