I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
